What we collect
- Your email address.It's how you sign in — there are no passwords — and how we tell you a pool is locking.
- The display name you choose for each pool. Everyone in that pool sees it.
- Your picks, and when you made them.
- Basic product analytics — that a page was viewed, a pool was created, a player joined, picks were completed. We record what kind of event a pool was about, not what you personally picked. Before you have an account these counts carry a throwaway identifier that is discarded immediately: we count how many people reached a page, and we cannot tell which of them was you, or connect it to you later.
We don't ask for your real name, your age beyond the 13+ confirmation, your location, or your phone number. We don't buy data about you, and we don't sell or rent yours.
Payment details
If you pay to open more seats in a league you run, the payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, never to us — we only learn that a payment succeeded.
Email you'll get
- About pools you joined: your picks are in, picks lock tomorrow, results are final. You get these because you joined the pool. To stop them, leave the pool.
- Anything else — news about a new event worth playing — only if you ticked the box. At most one of those a month, and every one has a one-click unsubscribe.
Who else touches your data
- Supabase — stores the database and handles sign-in.
- Vercel — runs the site.
- Resend — delivers our email.
- Stripe — processes the one commissioner payment.
- PostHog — product analytics.
They process data on our behalf to run the service, and for nothing else.
Children
Accounts are for people 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone younger. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it and its data.
Deleting your account
Email joinwaku@protonmail.com and we'll delete your account, your picks, and your memberships. Pools you ran will still exist for the people in them, but nothing in them will be tied to you.
